ARKOMA — After spending most his life in LeFlore County, Kinta boys basketball coach Shane Amos couldn't wait for the chance to return to coach in his neck of the woods. He got that chance.
Amos will coach the Arkoma Mustangs beginning the 2013-14 season.
“I've lived in Pocola for the last two years, so it [the Arkoma coaching job] was closer to home,” Amos said. “I'm more familiar with this area. My wife and I have a little one on the way due in December. They say timing is everything. I can now spend more time with my family.”
