Jury selection begun in trail against Aaron Ray Wesley Hinson today in LeFlore County District Court. Opening arguments should begin on Tuesday.
Hinson was charged in 2009 with the murder of an infant child after the child succumbed to injuries received while in Hinson's care.
According to the affidavit, Hinson is accused of causing a skull fracture and bruises to his girlfriend's infant son. Hinson and the infant's mother were both charged with the Child's death.
Whitesboro High School student Tiffany Worrell has selected to represent Oklahoma as a delegate to the 2012 Washington Youth Summit on the Environment at George Mason University.
Worrell will join a select group of 250 students from across the country to participate in an intensive, week-long study of leadership in environmental science and conservation.

SPIRO — The Spiro Lady Bulldogs took the second step in a return trip to the Class 3A State Tournament Thursday night at the Spiro Gym.
The Lady Bulldogs defeated the Keys (Park Hill) Lady Cougars 37-30 in the Class 3A Regional Tournament.
The Lady Bulldogs (14-9), who automatically qualified for next week's Class 3A Area Tournament in Fort Gibson, will play for the regional title at 6:30 p.m. tonight against Salina at Carl Albert State College's Mick Thompson Fieldhouse. Both teams will advance to the area tournament.
WARNER — The Talihina Lady Golden Tigers assured themselves of another week of practice Thursday night.
The Lady Golden Tigers defeated the Hulbert Lady Riders 51-48 Thursday night in the Class 2A Regional Tournament to put them into tonight's title game here at 6:30 p.m. against Oktaha. Both tonight's winner and runner-up will advance to next week's Class 2A Area Tournament at the new Wilburton Gym.

CLEVELAND, Okla. — The basketball season came to an end for the Bokoshe Lady Tigers in a 34-24 loss to the Burlington Lady Elks in the Class B Area Tournament Thursday afternoon.
The Lady Tigers finish the year at 18-9.
The Lady Elks (20-10), who trailed 11-9 after the first quarter, outscored the Lady Tigers 25-13 over the final three periods to get the come-from-behind win.
