OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — The Oklahoma medical examiner's office has confirmed a 22nd fatality from the May 31 tornadoes and flash floods after a girl's body was recovered from the Oklahoma River.

The office said Thursday the cause of the girl's death has not been determined.

Oklahoma City Fire Department Deputy Chief Marc Woodard says the girl's body was recovered Wednesday in Oklahoma City, about two miles from where she and her family sheltered from the tornado in a storm drain. Woodard says she hasn't been formally identified.

Court sides with Oklahoma in Red River dispute

June 13, 2013

WASHINGTON (AP) — The Supreme Court on Thursday decisively sided with Oklahoma and rejected Texas' claim that it has a right under a 30-year-old agreement to cross their common border for water to serve the fast-growing Fort Worth area.

The justices unanimously said that the Red River Compact "creates no cross-border rights in Texas."

The case concerns a dispute over access to southeastern Oklahoma tributaries of the Red River that separates Oklahoma and Texas.

Both Wards qualified for the Junior National Optimist Tournament, which will be July 25-29 in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.

June 13, 2013

The nice weather we have been having since school got out is about to end. Unfortunately, it looks like there are 100-degree temps in our near future.

With all the rain, our summer baseball teams have been having a hard time getting ball games played. It seems to come a downpour on game days — or there are church and basketball camps taking place.
However, baseball is about to kick in hard and fast. I have several games scheduled for the next two weeks. It's a good thing because those boys are itching for some action.
Have a great week!
