The Poteau Pirates were playing very sluggish, even though they held a 14-6 advantage midway through the second quarter. That is when the fireworks literally starting exploding all over the place. After a muffed kick and several brilliant returns by Kendrick Hardaway, the Pirates went to the locker room with a 28-6 lead over the Stilwell Indians. The snowball just kept on getting bigger in the second half as the Pirates won the game by the score of 50-12 to make it a happy homecoming before a packed homeside crowd at Costner Stadium.
