The Poteau High School cross country runners will begin their season at Monday's Haworth Invitational.
The Pirates return three state qualifiers from a season ago. Dylan Fox was 56th (18:36.5), Ashby Clark was 71st (19:04.53) and Bobby Graham was 94th (21:08.17) at last year's Class 4A State Meet, where they were 14th as a team.
The Lady Pirates return five of their state-meet runners from 2012, in which they were ninth.
Registration is open for the 2013 LeFlore County Express Fall Soccer League.

Late registration cost per child is $40.

There will be age 8-, 10- and 12-and-younger softball leagues at the Poteau Area Recreational Complex this fall.
The entry fee is $250 for 8- and 10-and-younger teams, while the entry fee is $300 for the 12-and-younger teams.
The Cameron Yellowjackets and the Wister Wildcats found themselves in the winner's-bracket finals of the 18th annual Carl Albert State College Classic on Friday.
The â€™Jackets blanked the Howe Lions 10-0 Thursday night at Cameron, while the â€™Cats also posted a shutout â€” 8-0 over the Kiowa Cowboys on Thursday afternoon at CASC's Ival Goodman Field.
WHITESBORO â€” The Whitesboro Bulldogs got their first win of the season Thursday night to open their own tournament, but they had to do it the hard way.
Down two runs, a 10-run sixth inning propeled them to a 19-11 come-from-behind slugfested win over the Panola Bearcats in the Whitesboro Tournament.
The Bulldogs (1-3), coached by Bryan Cartwright, faced Boswell, coached by his brother, Alan, in the semifinals, with the winner playing the Buffalo Valley-Battiest winner for the tournament title at 4 this afternoon. The losers will play for third place at 2 this afternoon.
CALVIN â€” Leflore pitcher Chance Long threw a one-hitter as the Savages routed the Mill Creek Bullfrogs 10-0 Thursday night in the opening round of the Calvin Tournament.
The Savages faced the Stuart Hornets in Friday afternoon's championship semifinals with the winner playing for the title at 3 this afternoon. Friday afternoon's loser will play for third place at noon today.
CLAREMORE â€” The Poteau Pirates ended the week on a high note as they won two games Friday in the Rogers State College Classic, blanking Adair 3-0 and doubling up Sand Springs 4-2.
SPIRO â€” The outstanding week of pitching for Poteau's senior ace RaeLynn Caldwell continues.
Caldwell, who struck out 14 Westville batters on Monday and 11 Tahlequah batters on Tuesday in a game where she was perfect for 6.1 innings, threw a no-hitter Thursday afternoon as the Lady Pirates blanked the Spiro Lady Bulldogs 8-0.
Caldwell struck out 11 batters in Thursday's win, and missed by one batter of a perfect game.
OKTAHA â€” The Heavener Lady Wolves stayed perfect on the young 2013 fast-pitch softball season as they posted two wins Thursday in the Oktaha Tournament, beating Cushing 5-4 and Porter 5-2.
The other local team in the field, the Panama Lady Razorbacks, split their two games, beating Stilwell 4-0 but losing 7-6 to Warner.
Both teams will wrap up play Saturday in the tournament, but their opponents were not known at press time.
The National Football League season will begin in a couple of weeks, and that means it's time to have draft parties for all the upcoming NFL Fantasy Football Leagues.
