Buggy drawing is here; turkey hunting, fishing, baseball is just around the corner

January 30, 2013

Spring is just around the corner, and the weather is giving us brief glimpses of what is in store. I am getting excited about doing some fishing and turkey hunting.
Chuck Restine sent me a picture of a good stringer of bass he caught at Broken Bow last weekend. It is about time to try and catch some bass.
Kaye Carter has informed me that Dan and I are going to catch her some crappie this spring, and you can bet that we are going to do our best to make her very happy.

January 30, 2013

Facing having to cancel the bout due to a roster decimated by the flu bug and other ailments, Michelle Uriosteof Red River Roller Derby reached out to the River Valley Roller Girls to help them have enough for a team. Five skaters, including three All Stars from RVRG joined with the six healthy enough to make the long drive from Wichita Falls, Texas. The combination worked and Red River skated to its first ever win defeating Mountain Gateway Sisterhood of Steel 232-168 Saturday at SkateReation.
