The 2013 Poteau Coed Church Softball League registration has begun.
Any church that is interested in playing at the Poteau Area Recreational Complex this summer needs to contact Billy Bond at (918) 647-1939.
The entry fee is $400 per team. Deadline to entry is June 26.
League will begin play on July 8 or 9.

Tim âTimAtayoâ Thompson, 19, of Spiro died Tuesday, June 11, 2013. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 15, at Victory Worship Center. Burial will be in Spiro City Cemetery under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home.
Rick Ford, 56, of Heavener died Wednesday,Â June 12, 2013. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, June 17, at First Baptist Church, Heavener, under the direction of Evans and Miller Funeral Home, Poteau.
OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) â The Oklahoma medical examiner's office has confirmed a 22nd fatality from the May 31 tornadoes and flash floods after a girl's body was recovered from the Oklahoma River.
The office said Thursday the cause of the girl's death has not been determined.
Oklahoma City Fire Department Deputy Chief Marc Woodard says the girl's body was recovered Wednesday in Oklahoma City, about two miles from where she and her family sheltered from the tornado in a storm drain. Woodard says she hasn't been formally identified.
WASHINGTON (AP) â The Supreme Court on Thursday decisively sided with Oklahoma and rejected Texas' claim that it has a right under a 30-year-old agreement to cross their common border for water to serve the fast-growing Fort Worth area.
The justices unanimously said that the Red River Compact "creates no cross-border rights in Texas."
The case concerns a dispute over access to southeastern Oklahoma tributaries of the Red River that separates Oklahoma and Texas.
Two men were killed Wednesday afternoon in separate motorcycle accidents that occurred at about the same time. One accident was south of Hodgen and the other in Poteau.
A Heavener man was killed in a motorcycle accident Wednesday afternoon when another vehicle struck him.
Rick Ford, 56, of Heavener, was driving a 2007 Yamaha Motorcycle north on U.S. Highway 59 near Stapp Zoe at about 5:15 p.m. when the accident occurred.
TULSA â Three local golfers competed in the 2013 Oklahoma Junior Optimist Tournament on Wednesday at Page Belcher Golf Course.
Poteau's Ryan Ward won his age division title with a 71, while Cameron Yellowjacket golfer Kody Whitehead was third at 76.
Ward's sister, Hannah â the two-time Class 4A state champion â tied for first place in her division with a 71, but lost the playoff to end up as runner-up.
Both Wards qualified for the Junior National Optimist Tournament, which will be July 25-29 in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.
