David Paul Waterhouse, 60, of Spiro died Thursday, May 30, 2013, in Fort Smith, Ark. David was born June 26, 1952, in Glendale, Calif., to Ray and Jean (Hall) Waterhouse. He was employed by PSC Fabricators for 12 years. David was preceded in death by his great nephew, Brecken Owenby.

Mother Nature once again wreaked havoc on the local sports scene on Saturday.
Saturday morning's rain shower washed out the Kiamichi All-Star Classic softball and baseball games at Eastern Oklahoma State College in Wilburton.
The games will not be rescheduled.
On Monday, Gov. Mary Fallin announced she was declaring a State of Emergency for 25 counties in Oklahoma, including LeFlore County.
The declaration is an amendment to the original declaration made May 19.
The recent severe weather, tornadoes, straight-line winds, flooding and damaging hail that have ravaged the state has caused numerous fatalities and injuries as well as extensive property damages.
STILLWATER (AP) â€” A hearing for a former Oklahoma State University student charged with sexual battery has been delayed.
A preliminary hearing was set in Payne County for Monday for 22-year-old Nathan Cochran [of Heavener]. A lawyer for Cochran told the Tulsa World on Monday the proceeding was being rescheduled.
The attorney, Jay Husbands, said a new hearing date could be set later in the day.
The hearing is to determine whether there is sufficient evidence for Cochran to be tried.
After two competency evaluations, Special Judge Jeff Singer has ruled that Elvis Aaron Thacker, 25, will stand trial in the death of Brian Jane Ault.
Thacker and his brother Johnathen Don James Edward Thacker, 24, were charged with multiple violent crimes in Oklahoma and Arkansas, in connection with the discovery of the body of victim Briana Jane Ault, 22, in a pond near Pocola on Sept. 13, 2010.
Thacker is scheduled to appear Aug. 15 at 9 a.m. for preliminary hearing proceedings.
Recent flooding in the southern portion of LeFlore County has resulted in local emergency management seeking a disaster declaration from the Governor.
An early morning house fire has destroyed the home of a Summerfield family.
At about 12:30 a.m. Saturday morning, the home of Barbara Grey burned to the ground, according to neighbors.
Grey was at home at the time of the fire and was able to get out safely.
Multiple fire departments responded to the blaze and was able to keep the fire from spreading to nearby storage buildings and a barn.
Grey's daughter, son-in-law and two grandchildren who live with her, were not home at the time of the fire.
