Heavener running back glad to experience playoffs

November 11, 2011

HEAVENER — At this time a year ago, the Heavener Wolves had checked in their football equipment since the 2010 season ended at Week 10. That's not the case this year.
The Wolves finished fourth in District 2A-6 to make the playoffs, which makes junior running back Blake Smittle a happy camper.
“It feels good,” Smittle said. “It's the first time for me to be in the playoffs. It's a new experience for most of us. I'm excited for it. I'm ready.”
