Four local high school basketball players, Heavener's Trevor Smith, Spiro's Knifeis Carter and Philicea Mack and Wister's Tyler Gibson, have been named as four of the top 100 high school players to watch in the Vype Oklahoma Basketball Preview magazine, which will be out on newsstands at the end of this month including all Tote-A-Poke convenience stores in LeFlore County.
That's quite an honor to be put in such a select group of athletes from state of Oklahoma. Congratulations to all four of you for your honor.

STILLWATER — As any team approaches a big game, it wants to be playing well. It would appear as if the Oklahoma State Cowboys are doing just that.
After a 44-30 loss to Kansas State on Nov. 3, the Cowboys have eclipsed the 50-point mark in their last two games — a 55-34 win over West Virginia on Nov. 10 and Saturday afternoon's 59-21 rout of Texas Tech, both games being played at Boone Pickens Stadium.
TULSA — An epic western movie is entitled, “How the West Was Won.” There was a football game Saturday at Skelly Field at H.A. Chapman Stadium that could have also been described with that title.
Keyarris Garrett caught three touchdowns receptions to lift Tulsa to a 23-21 victory over Central Florida Saturday in a battle of Conference USA division leaders, and a likely preview of the league championship game.

GANS — The Cameron High School basketball teams entered the Thanksgiving Week Break by splitting their road games Friday night against Gans.
The Yellowjackets won their third straight game this week by stinging the Grizzlies 57-37, but the Lady ’Jackets were handled by the Lady Grizzlies 64-32.
The games were originally scheduled for Cameron, but since the gym floor was being redone the games were moved to Gans. The same two schools will hoop it up Nov. 26 at Cameron — which was the original date the teams were to have met in Gans.
