Christâ€™s Food Center is a nondenominational Christian ministry committed to sharing the hope and help found in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We distribute food and clothing to those in need without prejudice of race, religion, color, creed, economic or social standing.
Located in Big Cedar, Okla., we serve the Whitesboro School District area. Our ministries include:
*Family Food Day â€“ 3rd Saturday of each month â€“ 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
*Food-4-Kids Backpack Program â€“ weekend food for kids.
CAMERON â€” It took nine hard-fought innings, but the Poteau Pirates baseball team was able to get past the Spiro Bulldogs 10-9 in nine innings to win the 32nd LeFlore County Baseball Tournament on Sunday afternoon.
The Pirates went through unscathed as they beat Wister 6-5 in Saturday afternoonâ€™s winnerâ€™s-bracket final after downing tournament-host Cameron 10-2 on Friday night in the winnerâ€™s-bracket semifinals.

WESTVILLE â€” Class 4Aâ€™s top-ranked Poteau Pirates soccer team had little problem with the Westville Yellowjackets on Friday night, posting a 10-0 mercy-rule victory.
However, the Lady Pirates were not as fortunate, losing 5-0 to the Lady â€™Jackets.
A three vehicle accident on Oklahoma Highway 112 east of Poteau occurred at approximately 3 p.m. Monday afternoon.
A red flatbed pickup, a grey minivan and a 10-wheel dump truck appeared to be involved in the accident.
Multiple rescue agencies responded to the scene.
Tulsa Life Flight landed at the accident to help LeFlore County Emergency Medical Services to transport injured people. It is unknown at this time how many people were inured.
Oklahoma Highway Patrol investigated the accident.
Billy Gene Armstrong, 70, of Roland died Tuesday, April 2, 2013, in Fort Smith, Ark.Â He was a mechanic. No services are planned at this time.Â Arrangements are under the direction Grace Manor Funeral Home of Poteau.
Claud Ellen Baldwin Balentine, 87, of Wister died Thursday, April 4, 2013, in Poteau. She was born Oct. 22, 1925, in Mansfield, Ark., to Claude Charles and Ellen (Rogers) Ellis. She worked in quality control for Rivals in Kansas City. She was a member of Victory Baptist Church in Howe. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and five brothers.
The Arena Steakhouse, north of Poteau, was destroyed by fire Sunday evening.
According to fire personnel, the fire began just after 7 p.m. and appears to have begun near the kitchen.
Fire Departments from Poteau, Shady Point, Panama, Wister, Howe, Hogeye and Pocola responded to the fire.
The restaurant was not open for business when the fire occurred. No was was injured in the blaze.
An investigation into the cause of the fire is being conducted by the Oklahoma Fire Marshal's Office.
