ARKOMA — In a nail-biting finish, the Arkoma Mustangs snatched a 44-36 victory from the Midway Chargers Friday night to celebrate homecoming at Mustang Field.

Pocola handles Wilburton in 'pink-out' football game

POCOLA — The Pocola Indians came out with some spirit on this "pink-out" night against the Wilburton Diggers. It only took them four plays to score their first touchdown as they chugged to a 34-12 victory, stopping their home losing streak.

Talihina returns to District A-6 play with rout of Sallisaw-Central Tigers

TALIHINA — Talihina started slower than usual, still scoring 21 points in the first quarter on the way to a 51-20 win at home over Sallisaw-Central Friday night at Doc Robinson Stadium.

Checotah too much for Heavener

HEAVENER — After a slugfest last week at Roland in which the Rangers prevailed, the Heavener Wolves were hoping for better luck Friday night at Harvey Stadium. It didn't happened.
The visiting Checotah Wildcats dominated the Wolves 48-18 in District 3A-8 action.

Three people stabbed at Panama bar

Three men are being treated for stab wounds after a fight at a Panama bar.
According to sources, a fight broke out at Jimmy's west of Panama on State Highway 31 at approximately 10:30 p.m. During the fight, three men were reportedly stabbed, one of them in critical condition.

Fort Gibson Tigers spoil Poteau's homecoming

For the second game in a row at Costner Stadium, the Poteau Pirates drew a top 10 team in the Fort Gibson Tigers.

Bokoshe gets first win of season, downs Eagle Point Academy

BOKOSHE — The Bokoshe Tigers notched their first win of the season at home Friday, blunting Eagle Point Academy 36-18.
Friday's win was the Tigers' first since they beat Eagle Point last season.

Panama gets first victory of 2012, survives late surge by Antlers

ANTLERS — The Panama Razorbacks got their first win of the season Friday night, but it wasn't easy. Leading 33-15 with two minutes lead in the final period, the Antlers Bearcats scored twice compliments of Panama turnovers to make it a game. In the end, the Hogs prevailed 33-30 to improve to 1-5 overall and 1-2 in District 2A-6 play.
