LEFLORE â€” Leflore pitcher Kaylee Roath threw a no-hitter as the Lady Savages routed the Webbers Falls Lady Warriors 14-0 in the first game of Tuesday afternoonâ€™s doubleheader.
The Lady Savages completed the sweep with a 12-1 rout in the second game.

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) â€” A federal judge has scheduled a hearing for next month in a lawsuit filed by a group of death row inmates over Oklahoma's execution procedures.
U.S. District Judge Stephen Friot on Tuesday scheduled a hearing for Sept. 18 in the case, which was filed by 21 inmates following the April 29 botched execution of Clayton Lockett. The inmates are trying to halt any attempt to execute them using the state's current lethal injection protocols.

POCOLA â€” The Heavener Lady Wolves got their 2014 fast-pitch softball season off and running with an 8-0 win over the Cameron Lady Yellowjackets in the Pocola Tournament on Monday.
The Lady Wolves met Wister, which blanked the Keota Lady Lions by the same 8-0 score on Monday, in the wininer's-bracket semifinals on Tuesday, with the winner playing in the winner's-bracket final at 7 p.m. Thursday.
LEFLORE â€” The 2014 fast-pitch softball season got underway Monday for the Leflore Lady Savages in fine fashion as they swept the Clayton Lady Bulldogs by scores of 12-0 and 6-0.
CAMERON â€” The 2014 fall baseball season got started on a down note for the Cameron Yellowjackets as they were swept by the Oktaha Tigers by scores of 15-12 and 9-7.
The Whitesboro Bulldogs also were to have opened their season in what was to have been a three-way but did not participate. The â€™Dogs opened the season Tuesday afternoon at home against Clayton in a battle of Bulldogs.
