A woman is recovering after her boyfriend allegedly stabbed her at a Heavener motel. According to the Heavener Pol ice Department, officers were dispatched to the Crane Motel July 1 after they received reports of a stabbing. When they arrived they found the victim, Tammie Jelks and two juvenile males at the motel who claimed Jelks boyfriend, Gregory Alan Andrews, 41, of Fort Smith, had stabbed her during an argument. Statements from the victim and witnesses claim an argument between Jelks and Andrews began over money.

WISTER â€” The Stilwell Angels OK Kids prep baseball team, representing Adair County, came to town Thursday and let the two LeFlore County teams in the 2012 OK Kids Prep Regional Tournament, the Cameron Elite and the host Wister Wildcats, get any wins on Day 1.
The Angels opened the day with a 10-6 win over the Elite, then handled the â€™Cats 5-3.
In the win over Cameron, Stilwell had a 3-0 lead after an inning.
After the Elite cut the deficit to 3-2 after two inning, the Angels broke the game open with a seven-run third inning to take an 11-2 lead.
Thanks to a complete-game victory by Jarred Williams, the Poteau Pirates OK Kids Midget baseball team lived to play another day in the 2012 Regional Tournament at the Poteau Area Recreational Complex.
Williams struck out 10 batters as the Pirates used a big sixth inning to get past the Vian Dawgs 11-6 Thursday night.
PANAMA â€” The Panama Boomers OK Kids Midget baseball team was hoping to get to tonight's championship game of the 2012 Regional Tournament at Willie Darneal Field. If they do, the Boomers will have done it the hard way.
The Boomers lost 5-2 to the Stilwell Indians in Thursday night's winner's-bracket final. The loss put the Boomers into Friday night's loser's-bracket final, which they had to win to make it to today's 4:30 p.m. title game.
HEAVENER â€” The Heavener Thunder OK Kids Coach-Pitch baseball team finds itself only a single win away from the 2012 OK Kids State Tournament.
The Thunder handled the Stilwell Warriors 13-4 Thursdsay night at Blues Park to advance to today's championship game at 5 p.m. today. The Thunder will play one of three teams for the title â€” the Warriors, the Muldrow Bulldogs or the Roland Rangers.
PRESTON â€” There's another day of baseball for the Spiro Reds OK Kids coach-pitch baseball team. The Reds staved off elimination Thursday night with a 15-1 rout of the Prague Rebels to reach Friday night's loser's-bracket semifinal against Sallisaw.
The Reds needed to win twice on Friday, then twice on Saturday in the title games â€” 5 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. â€” to win the regional title and make state.
The Tishomingo BRR and the Tecumseh Blackhawks â€” who beat the Reds 12-5 Tuesday night â€” played Friday night for the right to get to the championship game undefeated.
ROLAND â€” The Howe Lions not only staved off elimination at the 2012 OK Kids PeeWee Regional Tournament once, but twice.
The Lions routed the Stigler Rangers 14-0, then edged the Morris Warriors 5-4 on Thursday to add at least one more day to their season.
The Lions faced the host team, the Roland Cardinals â€” a 9-8 winner over the Okemah Panthers in seven innings on Thursday â€” in Friday night's loser's-bracket semifinal.
The Howe-Roland winner was to meet the loser of Friday night's winner's-bracket final between the Poteau Buccaneers and the Whitesboro Bulldogs.
ATOKA â€” After being only three wins from state entering Thursday's action at the 2012 OK Kids Coach-Pitch Regional Tournament, the season came to a crashing halt for the Poteau Bombers.
The Bombers lost their winner's-bracket semifinal 9-7 in seven innings to the Caddo Bruins on Thursday despite a home run from Landon Thornburg, then fell 8-6 to the Stigler Jets in the loser's-bracket quarterfinal later that night.
The losses ended the season for the Bombers, who finished their season at 38-10.
SPIRO â€” After staving off elimination both Wednesday and Thursday afternoon's, the Spiro Mud Dawgs' run at the 2012 OK Kids Regional Tournament came to an end.
After blanking the Panama Razorbacks 12-0 Thursday afternoon, the Mud Dawgs then lost 9-5 that night to be eliminated from the tournament.
