WISTER — Last year, Carl Albert State College signed three LeFlore County players. Add one more for next year's roster.
Wister Wildcat senior pitcher/catcher Cody Luman signed a letter of intent last week with the Vikings.
“I just really like the program, and it's been doing pretty good lately,” Luman said. “And, it's close to home. I'm excited about it.”
“He has meant a lot to this program,” Wister Coach John McAlester said. “He's thrown some big ball games for us. He's just one of those kids who is good to just have around.”

Mountain Gateway Sisterhood of Steel will play Oklahoma City Roller Derby's Lightning Broads at 11 a.m. this morning at SkateReation.
Sisterhood of Steel returns to the rink following last week's 204-98 victory over Tulsa Derby Brigade's Beta Corps in what should be a hard fought battle.
"The Lightning Broads are a far more experienced team and this will be a real test for us, but I believe that with our Jammers and Blockers, on our home floor, and in front of our fans, we could put up another W," SOS Coach Keith Clarke said. "This is definitely going to be an entertaining game."

Thunder lose 'meaningless' game to Denver Nuggets

April 27, 2012

OKLAHOMA CITY — The Oklahoma City Thunder had virtually nothing to play for against the Denver Nuggets in their last game (and home game) of the season Wednesday night at Chesapeake Energy Arena. After sitting his starters for the entire fourth quarter Tuesday night against the Sacramento Kings, Oklahoma City Coach Scott Brooks played them in the final quarter against Denver, but it didn’t matter as the Thunder fell to the Nuggets 106-101.
OKC got off to a slow start in the game while Denver got into a groove early, jumping out to a 23-14 lead midway through the first quarter.
