A Poteau woman was uninjured Saturday night after her car struck a guardrail and was left suspended until emergency crews arrived.
Pam Johnston, 57, of Poteau, told officers she was driving south on the Cavanaugh Scenic Expressway near the Walmart exit when an animal ran out in front of her car. Johnston said she swerved to miss the animal and struck the concrete barrier and slid along the guardrail. The report shows the car traveled four tenths of a mile before stopping on top of the guardrail.
Johnston wasn't injured in the accident.
