OKLAHOMA CITY â€” The Oklahoma City Thunder came into its Friday night contest against the Sacramento Kings at Chesapeake Energy Arena riding a nine-game winning streak. The streak continued to 10 games as the home team knocked off the Kings 103-93, and upped the NBAâ€™s best record to 19-4.
The win set up a showdown between two of the top teams in the Western Conference as the Thunder played the San Antonio Spurs on Monday night at Chesapeake Energy Arena. The game marked the fifth straight at home for the Thunder.

The Poteau Pirates had a winning football season in 2012, and were in the playoff hunt until Week 9 â€” and were perhaps the surprise team of District 4A-4. All of that did not go unnoticed when the All-District 4A-4 Team was named.
Two Pirates got special individual honors, and a total of 12 players made the All-District Team.
Jay Werner was named the Special Teams Player of the Year, while Trevor Shankle was the Offensive Lineman of the Year.

Sunday Couple Scrambles at Wolf Ridge Golf Course will take place at 2 p.m. Sundays. The entry fee is $15 per person for the nine-hole weekly event.

The 2012 PIT Camp 3-on-3 Winter Classic basketball tournament will take place Dec. 29 at the Wister High School Gymnasium.
The entry fee is $10 per player, with no team having more than four players.
WILBURTON â€” It wasnâ€™t pretty, but the Poteau Pirates basketball team won its opening-round game in the Wilburton Tournament 44-40 over the host Diggers on Thursday night.
The Pirates played Red Oak, a 56-43 victor over Stigler on Thursday, in the championship semifinals Friday night with the winner meeting the Wright City-Eufaula winner at 7 p.m. Saturday for the championship. The Poteau-Red Oak loser and the Wright City-Eufaula loser will play for third place at 4 p.m. Saturday.
ARKOMA â€” The first Green Valley Conference Tournament had its first major upset Thursday night at the Arkoma Gym.
In a battle of Lady Lions, Keota shocked Howe in a 74-44 victory in one of Thursday nightâ€™s semifinals.
Keota will play Panama at 7 p.m. Saturday in the title game as the Lady Razorbacks were able to get past the host Arkoma Lady Mustangs 55-44 in Thursday nightâ€™s final game.
Howe and Arkoma will battle for third place at 3 p.m. Saturday.
