High school football practice starts Monday; teams need to get a lot accomplished in opening days of football practice; Pocola opening with ‘Midnight Madness’ practice

August 8, 2014

There’s always some things football teams need to get accomplished as practice begins for the 2014 season Monday. LeFlore County’s teams are no different.
“We have a lot of positions we’ve got to fill up,” said Poteau coach Greg Werner, whose team played for the Class 4A state title in December. “We have a lot of things to improve on, but that’s the way it is for everybody. Everybody will feel that way on Monday. We certainly have a ways to go, but we’ll get there.”
For the Pocola Indians, they want to continue momentum from a successful off-season.
