Margaret Nell Monks, 76, of Panama died Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2014, in Fort Smith, Ark.
Margaret was born Dec. 2, 1938, in Buck Creek to Albert and Ailene (Lipsey) Harris. Marg married Leonard T. â€śTomâ€ť Monks on April 14, 1962. She was a grade school teacher in Panama for 28 years before she retired. Marg loved to feed the deer and birds and loved to quilt. She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents, Della and Robert Pierce.

Poteau Alumni Basketball Games Saturday Afternoon
The Poteau High School alumni basketball games will take place Saturday afternoon at Sherman Floyd Fieldhouse. The girls' game will be at noon, followed by the boys' contest at 1 p.m.
The teams will be odd-year graduates vs. even-year graduates in each game.
Admission is $3 with no charge to players.
Lillie â€śJeanâ€ť Hathaway, 89, of Poteau died Monday, Dec. 22, 2014, in Poteau.
Services are pending with Evans and Miller Funeral Home.
Sorena Going, 87, of Talihina died Saturday, Dec. 20, 2014, in Fort Smith, Ark.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 26, at New Talihina Cemetery under the direction of Burkhart Funeral Service, Talihina.
Billie Kathryn Tenison, 82, of Poteau and The Oaks Healthcare Center died Sunday, Dec. 21, 2014.
She was born in Comanche County on June 20, 1932, to Woodrow Wilson and Hazel (Bass) Sellers. She was retired from Revlon Corp.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Billie is survived by her husband, Russell (Rusty) Tenison of Poteau; a son, Michael Zurek of Poteau; granddaughter, Kathryn Gomez and Anthony of Sallisaw; a great-granddaughter, Mila Gomez of Sallisaw; brother, Jim Sellers of Rush Springs; other family members, friends and loved ones.
B.T. Walker Jr., 83 of Shawnee died Friday, Dec. 19, 2014, in Oklahoma City.
Ray Ona Reese passed away at his home in Myrtle Beach, S.C., Monday, Dec. 22, 2014.
