Panama's Ches Brown won his first Poteau Daily News’ Pigskin Picks Contest of the season last week, going 7-3 and winning the tie-breaker — which was the score between Indianapolis and Dallas last Sunday, which was won by the Cowboys 42-7. Brown won $25 for his winning ballot.
The Week 19 ballot for next weekend’s contest will be in Tuesday’s edition. That ballot will need to be turned in by noon Wednesday to be eligible for that week’s $25 prize-winning check since there will be New Year's Day college games on it.
