Some people will use a trailer to help carry their belongings while traveling. The Bokoshe Lady Tigers basketball team also has a trailer — or, more precisely, a Traylor, as in junior forward Hunter Traylor — to help carry the load.
Traylor had a 41-point outing against Whitesboro in the 83rd LeFlore County Tournament last month, and is averaging close to 20 points a game. She said that since Bokoshe has always had hoops, basketball was the way to go.
“I’ve always played basketball,” she said. We haven’t always had a softball team.”

Poteau teams split road games with Sallisaw

February 11, 2015

Despite not having leading scorer Sequoyah Sanders, who suffered an ankle injury in Friday night’s game at Muldrow, the Poteau Pirates were still able to pull off a road victory, beating the Sallisaw Black Diamonds 48-36 Tuesday night in Sallisaw to get the season sweep.
The good news for the Lady Pirates was they played a better game against the Lady Black Diamonds than the first meeting last month at Sherman Floyd Fieldhouse. The not-so-good news was they still fell short of a road win, falling 47-43.
