No Pigskin Picks Contest winner this week; $50 to be awarded for Super Bowl win

January 28, 2015

There will not be a Week 22 Poteau Daily News’ Pigkin Picks Contest winner due to a technicality on the Pro Bowl, which took place Sunday in Glendale, Ariz.
For the second straight season, the Pro Powl was not the traditional AFC vs. NFC format, but two Hall of Famers, this year being Michael Irvin and Cris Carter after it was Deion Sanders and Jerry Rice last season, drafting all-star teams comprised from both conferences.
Due to the ballot saying AFC vs. NFC, the Team Irvin vs. Team Carter format would not allow for the participants in that week’s contest to have their ballot count.
