Heavener Wolves look to get back on track Thursday night against Roland Rangers

October 15, 2014

The Heavener Wolves could find themselves easily atop the District 3A-8 standings undefeated. However, two district losses to Eufaula 17-14 on Sept. 26 in the district opener and last week’s 32-6 setback on the road against Stigler have the Wolves behind the eight-ball so to speak.
“We had the better [offensive] numbers, but they [the Stigler Panthers] made the plays and we didn’t,” first-year Heavener coach Sam Hembree said.
Now, the Wolves (2-4 overall, 1-2 in district play) find themselves in a must-win situation at 7 p.m. Thursday against the Roland Rangers at Harvey Stadium.
