Marsh's way of thinking

August 16, 2013

Most all of the Poteau Pirates are eagerly awaiting the new district alignments for the 2014-15 seasons. It is for sure that Tulsa Rogers is dropping down, but the status for Tulsa Cascia Hall is still in limbo. Will the Commandos stay in Class 4A or will their private school status and the multplier factor bump them up to Class 5A — or even 6A.
Poteau could get Ada, Tulsa Central, Oologah, Wagoner or Miami in its district. Whatever happens, the district will still be as tough as always — and maybe even tougher.

There's a feeling of football in the air these days

August 16, 2013

Football season is here! Everybody has been practicing. With the cooler temperatures, it just feels like it's football time.
The first National Football League game is just 23 days from now. The Poteau Bandit League teams' first games will be Sept. 7 in Greenwood, Ark.
RaceDay Park MX Report
The track will have a dirt bike/all-terrain vehicle rodeo Oct. 12. There will be nine events which people can enter, and it looks like it's going to be fun. I'll have more information later on this.
