LeFlore County had a 2-2 performance on the hardwood on the first day of the Eastern Oklahoma State College Tournament.
The Bokoshe Lady Tigers remained undefeated on the season with a 54-24 rout of the Battiest Lady Panthers, while the Whitesboro Lady Bulldogs routed the Haileyville Lady Warriors 58-35. Both games were played at EOSC's Claud C. Dunlap Fieldhouse.
BRAGGS — The Panama High School basketball teams got their first wins of the season Monday in the opening round of the Greenleaf Invitational Tournament.
The Razorbacks defeated tournament-host Braggs 65-46, while the Lady ’Backs routed Kinta 54-19.
The Hogs (1-2) will play Gore, a 63-34 winner over Webbers Falls on Monday night, in the championship semifinals at 8:30 p.m. Friday, with the winner playing for the title at 8:45 p.m. Saturday. Friday night's loser will play for third place at 5:45 p.m. Saturday.
The Pansy Kidd Middle School eighth-grade Raiders basketball team won its opener in its own tournament on Monday with a 53-39 victory over the Wister Wildcats at the PKMS Gym.
However, the other three PKMS teams suffered losses. The eighth-grade Lady Raiders fell 30-21 to Wister, while both seventh-grade Pansy Kidd Middle School teams lost to Sallisaw — the boys fell 23-21, while the girls lost 31-21.
It was a very good weekend for the Carl Albert State College Lady Vikings basketball team.
The Lady Vikings went 2-0 in the Lady Viking Classic in Hillsboro, Mo. with a Sunday afternoon rout of Logan College by a score of 90-35, which came a day after a 94-62 win over Southeastern Illinois.
The next game for the Lady Vikings will be at 6 p.m. Thursday against Murray State College in an Oklahoma Collegiate Athletic Conference game at Mick Thompson Fieldhouse. The Vikings will follow at 8 p.m. Thursday against the Aggies, formerly coached by current Carl Albert Men's Coach Mike St. John.
The Poteau Youth Wrestling Club had three sites of representation last weekend.
At the Fort Gibson Novice Tournament, the Club placed 20 of its 24 wrestlers who competed. Nine of those wrestlers won titles. In Division I, Gavin Morgan and Mason Francis brought home the gold.
In Division II, Caden Warren won a championship, while Justin Neff and Seth Ford did so in Division III.
Rae Hendrix was a tournament champion in Division IV, while Brandon Hartley and Parker Rosenburg did likewise in Division V.
The Oklahoma State University 2011 Christmas Baseball Camps will be this month at Allie P. Reynolds Stadium in Stillwater.
The 2011 Cowboy Youth Christmas Camp Sessions for those who are in grades two through eight will be 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday for the first session, and the same time for the second session on Sunday.
Registration will begin at 9 a.m. both days. The camp cost is $200.
The 2011 Cowboy High School Christmas Hitting Camp will be 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Dec. 17, while the Christmas Pitching Camp will be from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Dec. 18.
