Poteau looks to end season on high note by beating Muldrow tonight

November 4, 2011

Last week's 59-56 heartbreaking loss to Fort Gibson ended any postseason hopes for the Poteau Pirates. But the Pirates can still end the season strong by winning their final game of the season, which will be at 7:30 tonight on the road against the Muldrow Bulldogs, coached by former Poteau Assistant Coach Rob Johnson.
The Pirates (4-5, 2-4 in District 4A-4) were still hoping that even with last week's loss that the postseason was still attainable.

There's one thing which will happen when Maud (4-5, 3-3 in District C-4) visits Bokoshe (1-7, 0-6) at 7:30 p.m. tonight in the regular-season finale. The Tigers will win, since both teams' mascots are Tigers.
Maud was last year's District C-4 champions, but have already lost three district games after having close to eight seasons without a district defeat. So, first-year Bokoshe Coach Tyler Massey hopes that will help the local Tigers out tonight.

I met professional fishermen Zell Rolland and Bobby Murray. The fishing tackle section was small, but they did have “flying squirrels” and “electric chickens” — two baits that I love to fish with during the winter.
