The Poteau Pirates have lost three games this season, all to District 4A-4 teams — the three teams I think are the best teams of the district, Sallisaw, Fort Gibson and Tulsa Cascia Hall.
It's coming down to crunch time for Poteau, Muldrow and Broken Bow.
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — The Arkansas Razorbacks' defense showed up for the second straight week as the Hogs trounced the Kentucky Wilcats 49-7 at Frank Broyles Field at Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium Saturday night, despite more than an hour lightning delay in the first quarter. The game was finally called with 5:08 to go in the third after a second storm delay.

TULSA — Even though it was a non-District C-4 contest, the Arkoma Mustangs won for the second straight week as they handled Eagle Point Academy 46-16 Friday night at Hicks Field.
“It was 27-0 at the end of the first quarter, and we kind of shut it down from there and cruised on,” said Mark Weatherton, Arkoma's coach.
HARTSHORNE — In what was supposed to be the best match-up of Friday night's District 2A-6 games, it did not turn out that way. The homestanding Hartshorne Miners struck a gold mine as they blanked the Pocola Indians 40-0.
TULSA — The Poteau Pirates stood toe to toe with Class 4A's top-ranked Cascia Hall Commandos Friday night. Even though the final score was 24-3, the game henged on two fumbles — one that was waved off and one that should have been allowed. The Commandos were the benefactors of both calls. Poteau lost a touchdown in the final quarter as Jace Pitchford appeared to have crossed the goal line only to have the ruling from the officials that he fumbled, with the hosts making the recovery.
