That time will mark the beginning of the first-ever cross country season at the school as the Wolves and Lady Wolves will run at the Tahlequah “Early Tiger” Meet.
The teams will be coached by Kristen Andrews. She has had quite a start to the first-ever program, as both teams will field a complete team and not just have a few individuals. Last fall, there were four junior high girls who ran, but never in an organized meet. This fall, it's a complete turnaround.

SPIRO — The one word Spiro Bulldogs Football Coach Chris Bunch said after Friday night's first scrimmage of the preseason against the Checotah Wildcats at McClain Stadium was “discpline” — and not in a positive way.
Bunch believes that his players were not as disciplined as needed to perform well on the gridiron. In Friday night's scrimmage, the ‘Cats threw four touchdown passes and rushed for another TD.
