Jodie Hill steals place in record books

Monday night, Heavener senior shortstop Jodie Hill tied the Oklahoma high school stolen base record at 235. Tuesday night she broke it as she stole a base in the first inning of Tuesday night’s LeFlore County Tournament winner’s-bracket semifinal against Panama to give her sole possession of the state stolen base record at 236. She later stole base No. 237 as Heavener defeated Panama 6-2.

Poteau senior duo looking forward to Friday’s season opener at Durant

County tournament a historic one for Heavener senior shortstop

It's LeFlore County Fast-Pitch Softball Tournament Week, and it will be one for the record books for Heavener senior shortstop Jodie Hill.
Hill tied the Oklahoma state record of 235 with a steal of second base in the fifth inning of Monday night's winner's-bracket quarterfinal game against Poteau. The national record is 246.
