11th-seeded Arkoma girls upset No. 6 Wister; all other top seeds win at Bokoshe site

BOKOSHE — The first upset on the girls' side of the 2012 LeFlore County Tournament belongs to the Arkoma Lady Mustangs.
The Lady Mustangs, seeded 11th, upset No. 6 Wister 59-45 Monday night at Bokoshe Tigers Fieldhouse.
In the other three games at this site, the top seeds prevailed. In the other girls' game, fourth-seeded Bokoshe handled 13th-seeded Cameron 49-32. On the boys' side, No. 5 Cameron defeated No. 12 Arkoma 78-45, while No. 4 Wister was too much for 13th-seed and tournament-host Bokoshe 57-14.
After two consolation semifinal games took place here Tuesday afternoon featuring the Cameron girls against Leflore and the Bokoshe boys against Arkoma, the action slated for today and tonight are consolation semifinals.
On the girls' side, Leflore will meet Pocola at 4 p.m., while Wister and Whitesboro will play at 5:30 p.m. The winners will then meet at 4 p.m. Thursday for the consolation championship at the Spiro Gym.
On the boys' side, Panama will face Arkoma at 7 p.m., while Leflore and Whitesboro will play at 8:30 p.m. The two victors will then meet at 5:30 p.m. Thursday at the Spiro Gym for the consolation title.
