The Adams family indeed had a happy Halloween

November 8, 2013

CARL FREDRICKSEN AT YOUR SERVICE — When visitors came to last weekend's "Wilson Family Fall Festival," they may have thought they were in the movie "Up." Not really, however, as it was outdoor columnist Jody Adams dressed up as the animated character. Photo by Jenny Adams

I hope you had a great Halloween. The Adams family did.
We stayed homed and scared kids as well as handed out candy. We went through four bags of candy, and we were out by 8 p.m. There were kids all over the neighborhood, and it keeps getting bigger each year. I heard that one house had a fire and was serving up hot dogs, too. Next year, I'm going to have to step up my game.
On Saturday, we went to “The Wilson Family Fall Festival.” There were more than 100 people there.
I made 15 pounds of deer chili and brought 40 quarter-pound hot dogs.
I was dressed like Carl Fredricksen of “Up.” Some people said I looked like PeeWee Herman.
Save the world, recycle.
God bless our troops and veterans.
Have a great Veteran's Day Weekend.
