Adams, Leatherwood win tournament on Wister Lake

The LeFlore County Bass Club had its third open bass tournament of 2013 on Saturday at Wards Landing on Wister Lake. There were 14 boats filled with anglers who caught a combined 54 fish that weighed 113.98 pounds. Each fish averaged 2.11 pounds, and 10 limits were caught.
Brian “Cuts Like a Knife” Adams and Dwayne Leatherwood won the tournament as they hauled in 12.21 pounds of fish to earn $325. Among the fish they caught was Adams' big bass winner that weighed 5.54 pounds to earn him an extra $130.
“Team Nitro,” comprised of Mackey and Wes Baker, came in second with 11.97 pounds to earn $195.
“Team Geritol,” otherwise known as Danny “The Doctor of” Love and Melvin McKay, was third (11.46 pounds, $130).
