Friday is the last day LeFlore County Youth Services Inc. will accepting Adopt-An-Angel applications for this holiday season, according to Terri Krebs, executive director.
The Angel Tree Program helps around 900 or more county children receive Christmas gifts each year through donations from supporters.
The program is open to LeFlore County residents whose children will not be receiving gifts by any other means. When applying, please bring your ID, an income verification statement and your childâ€™s information including Social Security number.
"We will tell you when you turn in your application if you qualified for the program, so please do not mail applications in," Krebs said.
The next phase of the angel program collecting donations.
From Nov. 1 through Dec. 13, the general public can adopt an angel by making a $40 donation at the LCYS office," Krebs said.
"We have angels from all the cities in our county, and you can request to adopt an angel from your town or your childâ€™s age," she said.
