Albert Marvin Ulrich

Albert “Marvin” Ulrich, 87, of Poteau, died Saturday, Oct. 20, 2012, in Fort Smith, Ark. He was born Dec. 24, 1924, in Topeka, Kan. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, a charter pilot and retired salesman from Sears.
He was preceded in death by his birth parents, Charles and Junie Guedrey, who passed away before Marvin was 5 years old, and his adoptive parents, Fred and Lucy Ulrich; his beloved wife, Mary Margaret Ulrich; one son, James Scott Ulrich; and a sister, Charlotte Ramsey. 
Marvin is survived by two daughters, Mary Marlene King and Suzanne K. Rogers and husband Dr. Brian Rodgers, all of Poteau; grandchildren; Michelle, Amanda, Devin, Courtney, Christopher, and Casey; four great-grandchildren; and many beloved family and friends.
Pallbearers will be Christopher, Courtney, and Casey Rodgers, Devin King, Gordon Semore and Kevin Merritt.
 Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 23, in Grace Manor Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Phil McGehee officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery under the direction of Grace Manor Funeral Home of Poteau. The family will visit with friends from 6-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
