Algra B. Tackett, 89, of Poteau died Monday, Dec. 26, 2011, in Poteau.
Algra was born June 2, 1922, in Berlin, Okla., to Doc and Margaret (Clanton) Barfield. She was a homemaker. Algra was a restaurant owner. She was a member at Latham Assembly of God Church, a charter member of the Green Country Jamboree and a member of the Red Hat Society. Algra was preceded in death by her parents, Doc and Margaret (Clanton) Barfield; husband, Arlie H. Tackett; and sons, Richard and Stuart Tackett.
Survivors include her daughter, Janet Jordan of Midland, Ark.; son, Darrell Tackett of Palm Springs, Calif.; nine grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, numerous great-great-grandchildren and other relatives.
Services will be 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 30, at Evans Chapel of Memories, Poteau, with Rev. James Hill officiating. Burial will follow in Old Bokoshe Cemetery.
The family will be at the funeral home from 6- 8 p.m. Thursday to visit with relatives and friends.
