Allen Lynn Kinsey, 57, of Howe, died Friday, Aug. 29, 2014, in Poteau. Allen was born Feb. 2, 1957, in Poteau to Abe and Billie Dean (Ladd) Kinsey. Allen was a beloved father, husband, brother and son; born and raised in Poteau. He worked most of his life as an oilfield driller and was an exceptional mechanic. He was preceded in death by his father and a brother, James “Jim” Kinsey.
He leaves behind his mother, Billie Dean; his love of nine years, Courtney Gibson; brothers, Billy Joe, Michael R., Larry D., Charles T. and Karen Kinsey, Loyd R. Kinsey and Teresa Cherry; sisters, Frances and Al Sisco, Carolyn and Steve Schreibvogel, Cynthia and Walter Waldridge, Sonya Kinsey-Calhoun; three children, Angela Dawn and Rudy Martinez, Amanda Dawn Kinsey, David Allen Kinsey; 11 grandchildren; one great-grandchild on the way; too many nieces and nephews to count who loved him dearly. We all hand him back over to his father in heaven with joy, peace and love.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 3, at Southside Baptist Church, Poteau.
