Amos ‘Aurbie’ Humphries

Amos “Aurbie” Humphries, 87, of Monroe died Friday, March 15, 2013, in Poteau. Aurbie was born June 13, 1925, in Gilmore to Samuel Green and Lillie A. (Goodin) Humphries. He was a rancher. Aurbie was preceded in death by his wife, Jewellene (Harp) Humphries.
Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Loretha Ann and Roger Williams of Fanshawe; sons and daughters-in-law, Jerry Don and Frankie Humphries of Rock Island and Ronald Keith and Darla Humphries of Monroe; seven grandchildren, Billy Don, Timothy, Christie, Ryan, Rachel, Madeline and Emily; six great-grandchildren, Alex, Samuel, Jeremy, Gunnar, Kaylee and Kinsley; sister, Shirley Reece of Monroe; and other relatives and loved ones. 
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 19, at Evans Chapel of Memories, Poteau, with the Revs. Jim Cook and Barry Reel officiating. Pallbearers will be Steve and Alex Humphries, Ryan Williams, Cody Martin, David Brady and Mark McMillin.
Burial will be in Vaughn Cemetery, Gilmore, under the direction of Evans and Miller Funeral Home.
