Another week, more fishing and turtles

I finally got to do some serious fishing last week with my cousin, Russell Broussard, on one day, and my good friend, Dean Armstrong, on another day.
Cash and I headed over to Sebastian Lake with Dean, and fished for about three hours before a storm blew in and ran us off the lake. We did manage to catch several small fish before we had to abandon the lake due to the weather.
On the same day, Cash and I made a trip to Wister Lake to make sure my boat was up to snuff, and we got into the sand bass and caught about 20 in less than and hour on crank baits. That is about as much fun as a kid can have when you get into those sandies like that.
Russell and I headed out to Wister a couple of days later, and caught about 20 bass in four hours. We didn’t catch any hawgs, but it was a good day of fishing none the less. We are planning another trip later this week as well.
Chuck Restine took his son, Dawson, and Kenden Thornburg to a strip pit over neat Bokoshe and caught a good number of bass including two weighing more than five pounds on plastic worms. Those boys had one heck of a time, and are ready to go again.
Have a great week!
