Archie Dave Deere

Archie Dave Deere, 58, of the Reichert community died Wednesday, Sept. 4, in Fort Smith, Ark. Archie was born May 11, 1955, in Poteau to Archie and Pat Deere. He was a 1973 graduate of Heavener High School and a members of Pilgrim’s Rest Church. Archie loved his family, his home and God’s creatures that he cared for around his home. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Oscar and Mary Deere; maternal grandparents, Dave and Neoma Moody; brother-in-law, Phil Gardenhire; and two cousins, Tony Plumlee and Joe Wiles.
He is survived by his parents; two sisters and brother-in-law Gwenda Kay Chitwood of Poteau, Sherry Deere and Michael of Summerfield; one nephew, Tyler and wife LeeAnn of Poteau; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. The family extends special thanks to Peachtree Hospice for the excellent care given Archie Dave in his final days.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 7, in Pilgrim’s Rest Church in Reichert with burial in Reichert Cemetery under the direction of Dowden Funeral Home, Heavener. An online guestbook is available at dowdenfh.com.
