The Area 10 Special Olympics Bowling Competition took place Wednesday at Strike-A-Lot Lanes.
There were teams from Poteau, Arkoma, Cameron, Heavener, Howe, Muskogee and Stilwell with bowlers competing in singles and unified events. The unified competition was a doubles team consisting of a Special Olympian and a non-disabled partner.
There were 80 Special Olympians who competed in Wednesday's event as well as 28 unified teams.
All athletes had to compete in an area competition to be able to compete at the Oklahoma State Winter Games, which will take place in January in Norman.
