Arkoma boys begin basketball season tonight with new coach

November 15, 2012

The 2012-13 basketball season will begin for the Arkoma Mustangs tonight with an 8 p.m. contest against the Cameron Yellowjackets at home.
The Mustangs were 6-17 last season, and will be very young this year.
“This season's success will depend on how fast the younger players can adapt to the quicker pace of high school basketball,” said Chester Johnson, Arkoma's new boys coach after taking over for longtime coach and athletic director Rick Harvey.
