Arkoma girls, Cameron boys see seasons end with consolation title game losses; Lady Mustangs, Yellowjackets win Friday night's consolation semifinals

WILBURTON — The seasons came to an end for the Arkoma Lady Mustangs and the Cameron Yellowjackets Saturday afternoon in the consolation championship game in the Class A Regional Tournament at the new Wilburton Gym.
The Lady Mustangs lost 53-40 to the Allen Lady Mustangs in the girls' consolation title game, then the ’Jackets' valliant comeback fell short in a 50-47 loss to the Boswell Scorpions.
Both local teams kept their seasons going one more day with Friday night victories in the consolation semifinals. Arkoma's girls (17-9) routed the Keota Lady Lions 66-38, while the Yellowjackets (20-9) got past the Kiowa Cowboys 42-38.
