Arkoma Mustangs look to keep momentum going when they face Claremore Christian
Everything has been settled as far as the Arkoma Mustangs are concerned. They will be second in District C-4, which means a home playoff game on Nov. 11.But the Mustangs (8-1, 5-1 in district play) do not want to go into the postseason on a downer, so they plan on treating Friday night's regular-season finale at 7:30 p.m. on the road against Claremore Christian (3-6, 2-4) as they have in all the games.“The kids are real excited about having a home playoff game in a couple of weeks,” Arkoma Coach Mark Weatherton said. “I think the whole town is excited. But we still have to take care of business Friday night. It's not going to change our position in the district, but you still want to go in on a good note. It's still a regular-season game. Nine wins total is the school record, and we want to take care of that."
