Arkoma seeks home playoff game with win Friday night over Webbers Falls Warriors

November 8, 2013

The adage, “The shortest distance between two points is a straight line,” somewhat holds true Friday night for the Arkoma Mustangs football team.
The Mustangs (5-3 overall, 4-2 in District C-4) can have a home playoff game with a win Friday night against the Webbers Falls Warriors (4-4, 3-3) when they meet for Senior Night at 7:30 p.m. at Mustang Field. However, if a loss occurs, then Arkoma's playoff scenario becomes much more complicated.
“If we win, we're second,” Arkoma coach Mark Weatherton said. “If we lose and Maud wins [over Sasakwa], we're second. If we lose and Sasakwa wins, we're third. If we happen to lose and Sasakwa wins and Bokoshe beats Southwest Covenent, we'd be fourth. The easiest thing for us to do is win.”
