February 19, 2014

ARKOMA — The Arkoma High School basketball teams won the Class A District Tournament on Saturday night at the Arkoma Gym, but by different styles.
The Mustangs got a last-second shot by Josh Marion to down the Cameron Yellowjackets 52-50, but the Lady Mustangs were too much for the Gans Lady Grizzlies as Arkoma prevailed 93-68.
The Yellowjackets got to the district title game with a 72-52 win over the Gans Grizzlies on Friday night, but the season ended for the Cameron girls as they lost 59-52 to Gans on Friday night.
The Arkoma teams and Cameron's boys will be in the Class A Regional Tournament, which will start Thursday in Stuart before moving Friday to Kiowa.
