Arkoma's first road game Friday night against SW Christian

After being home for the first two weeks of the 2011 season, the Arkoma Mustangs football team will hit the road for the first time. But their road trip is about a three-hour journey as they will travel to Norman to face Southwest Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. Friday.
“I'm worried about it a little bit,” Arkoma Coach Mark Weatherton said. “Most of these guys have been on long road trips because that's the kind of district we're in. To have our first two games at home, then a long road trip, that always makes you nervous on how our legs will be and how drained we'll be. I hope we can get there early so we can get them rested and wander around a little bit, and then be ready to go.”
