Arrest made in Ka'Loni Flynn murder

June 22, 2012

Christopher Kenyon Simpson, 26, of Fort Coffee, was arrested Thursday evening by the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation in connection with the double murder of Ka'Loni Flynn and her unborn child.
Investigator Shawn Ward, OSBI, Investigator Travis Saulsbery, LeFlore County District Attorney's Office and members of the LeFlore County Sheriff's Department arrested Simpson at his home without incident.
LeFlore County Sheriff Bruce Curnutt held a press conference Friday morning with Flynn's family present. According to Curnutt, the possible motive behind the double murder was Flynn's refusal to abort her child upon Simpson's, the father's, request.
Flynn was found in her car two months ago dead from a gunshot wound. The investigation lead officers to multiple states for interviews resulting in Simpson's arrest.
Simpson is being held without bond in the LeFlore County Detention Center.
