Artie Bell Margaret Deleplank, 74,of Poteau died Sunday, Oct. 2, 2011 inHeavener. Artie was born in Calhoun onSept. 10, 1937, to Frances Dora (Chitwood)Phillips. Artie was a loving wife, motherand the best granny anyone could have.She worked for 40 years as a CNA andtouched many lives in her career. Shedevoted her life to taking care of others.She never met a stranger, had an open door and a placeat the dinner table for anyone who was hungry. She lovedtaking care and cooking for family and friends. Artie waspreceded in death by her parents, three sisters, fi ve brothersand son-in-law, Steve Hastings.Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Bob of thehome; daughters and son-in-law, Dora and Rick Piersant,Debra Hastings of Poteau; sons and daughters-in-law,Bobby and Dawn Deleplank of Poteau, Hoss and ChantayDeleplank of Shady Point, Billy Deleplank of Poteau; 13grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; other relatives andloved ones; many beloved friends.Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 5, at EvansChapel of Memories, Poteau, with the Rev. Jim Cookoffi ciating.
