Authorities report two dead following accidents
Three separate accidentsover the weekend claimedthe lives of two people andleft several others injured.On Friday a single vehicleaccident claimed the life of aShady Point woman after themotorcycle she was riding onhit a bridge support.According to the accidentreport released by theOklahoma Highway Patrol,Timmy Sprabary, 44, ofWister, was driving a 2008Yamaha motorcycle withApril Gilgo, 35, of ShadyPoint as his passenger.The two were travelingwestbound on the Reichert-Summerfield Road nearHodgen when Sprabaryfailed to negotiate a curve.The motorcycle left the roadwayand struck a bridge supportcausing both Spraybaryand Gilgo to be ejected fromthe bike.Gilgo, who was ejected54 feet from the point ofimpact, suffered fatal injuriesand was pronounced dead atthe scene by LeFlore CountyEMS. Spraybary was transportedby LCEMS to SparksHospital in Fort Smith andwas admitted with externaltrunk injuries. He was listedin stable condition.Neither Sprabary or Gilgowere wearing helmets at thetime of the accident.Another accident involvingthree motorcycles on thescenic State Highway 1 onSaturday left three peoplehospitalized and one manuninjured.According to the report,Richard Bolton, 49, of Tulsa,who was driving a 2009Harley Davidson and JerryBolton, 52, of Mannford,who was driving a 2011Harley Davidson were travelingwestbound on StateHighway 1 three miles eastof Spring Mountain Roadwhen they were unable tonegotiate a curve.At the time that theBoltons were failing to makethe curve, Bobby Houser, 30,and his passenger JessicaHouser, 29, both of Trenton,Texas, were traveling east-bound. The Housers were struck by the two motorcyclesdriven by the Boltons after they lost control.Both Boltons were transported to McAlester RegionalHospital by LeFlore County EMS. Jerry Bolton was admittedin stable condition with internal injuries and RichardBolton was transferred to St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa withhead and leg injuries.Jessica Houser was transported by LCEMS to SparksHospital in Fort Smith and listed in stable condition with a leginjury. Bobby Houser was not injured in the accident.A third accident that occurred on Sunday claimed the lifeof a Haskell County man after the vehicle he was driving eastof Keota left the road and went airborne then rolled onto thepassenger side of the vehicle once it landed.According to the accident report, driver Daniel Drummond,25, of Eufaula was pronounced dead on the scene from massiveinjuries sustained in the accident.His passenger, Falecia Drummond, 21, of Eufaula sufferedinternal and leg injuries during the accident and was transportedto Sparks Hospital. She was treated and released.The report said that airbags inside the 2009 Chevroletpickup did deploy during the accident. Daniel Drummondwas not wearing his seatbelt when the accident occurred. Thereport shows that Falecia Drummond was wearing hers.
