Authorities say death accidental

What police are calling an accidental shooting has resulted in the death of a Milton woman.
According to LeFlore County Sheriff Rob Seale, deputies responded to the call of a woman shot in the abdomen Sunday night. The location of the home where the shooting occurred and the victim's name have not been released, only that the 59-year-old woman lived in the Milton area in northwest LeFlore County.
According to first responders, the gun was between the matresses of a bed and while changing sheets on the bed, the gun discharged, striking her in the abdomen. According to a press release by the Sheriff's office, the woman died at the scene and her death appears to be accidental.
Seale said her body was sent to the Oklahoma Medical Examiner's Office in Tulsa for an autopsy.
The type of gun involved in the death also it not being released at this time, according to the Sheriff's Office press release.
